Name Game

I find it very funny when Ben calls people by nicknames - which are really just shortened versions of their names. For example, he often calls Mimi "Meem" or Nonni "Non" or his friend Mary "Mare".

He's also recently gotten into imaginary play where we are all different people. For example, we play "Dora" where I am Dora, Ben is Swiper the Fox and Nate is Boots. He runs around calling us by our "Dora Names" and he really keeps with it for awhile. Sometimes we switch and I am Ben and he is Mom - this one gets really confusing...and just today we were frogs - Mom Frog and Ben Frog...it's kinda hard to hop around when you're 7 months pregnant, but I did my best! I can only imagine the pretending that's to come...
